Tall Ships

Today I took some time off and sat on the water's edge. I took my boys and a neighbor boy to watch the Tall Ships come in. We listened to bagpipers and watched people. It ran the gamut from cut-offs without a shirt to the yachting couple, both in tan pants, white shirt and navy blazer. (The wife had heels and a plaid purse too, but I didn't see whether or not the husband wore an ascot.) It was warm but breezy and Chet was able to join us just before the first ships arrived and the Army/Navy band was still playing something Sousa-esque. We can still see the ships from our window upstairs, but actually being there was more fun!
