I can usually count on allrecipes for something yummy. They have a rating system and a place to read reviews, so I can generally pick a winner. However, for the chili cook-off at church this past weekend, I turned to allrecipes for vegetarian chili and was let down. Not only did I not win a prize (vegetarian doesn't go over well with meat-eating Mormons) but it was yucky. Not disgusting, but not good. I was disappointed.
Tonight I made a cranberry oatmeal cookie recipe from the back of the Craisins bag, and they were too dry. What is with me? Not that I was ever a fabulous cook, but COME ON! Gimme a break here! Maybe I'll stick to mixes and frozen stuff.

I have so-so luck on allrecipes, too. I think you have to account for regional tastes. Other than that, how was the cook-off?
