In gratitude for the Greatest Christmas Gift

These past 10 days have been stressful for my family and me. Now that the traveling and funeral are over, I just wanted to express my gratitude.
I am thankful to friends who offered financial help for airfare and accommodations, as well as those who opened their homes to us in our time of need. I am grateful for family and friends who rushed to our side to support and help, especially for those who went above and beyond the call to honor my mother-in-law's wishes. I am overwhelmed with love for the faces I saw the day of the funeral--faces of those who loved us and wanted to let us know that. I am filled with gratitude for the gospel truths and those who taught them to me, because knowing God's plan brings comfort unparalleled. I am thankful to my Savior for His sacrifices so that resurrection is made possible and we can rest assured that we will see Nana again.
I want to let you all know that we are doing well, and we feel the prayers and good wishes being sent our way. Holiday time may seem like the worst time to be thinking of those who have passed on, but I believe it is the perfect time. While we celebrate the birth of Christ, we also celebrate His life and works. Remembering those who have left this earth is a fine way to celebrate Christmas. Because He lived, they will again live. That is the greatest gift of Christmas.

Mich
Chet and yours boys did a magnificent job at the funeral. You should be so proud of the boys. What a great mom you are to them. I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you at the funeral. So glad I saw you at dinner. Love you so much
