Recently my family has become hooked on a British show called "Rosemary & Thyme". We've only seen the first few episodes, but we have the entire second season to rent yet. It's British mystery, which I love, and it's about gardening and flowers, which I also love. And it stars Felicity Kendal, who was in "Good Neighbors", an old British sitcom, which I love.
I think you should check it out.
I also think you should check out these British shows:
Last of the Summer Wine
Fawlty Towers
The Vicar of Dibley
Father Ted
Keeping Up Appearances
Creature Comforts
Changing Rooms
Jeeves and Wooster
Mapp & Lucia
And of course, don't forget the Agatha Christie classics:
Poirot
Miss Marple

I must also suggest another BBC favorite: Monarch of the Glen. And for any of you who have Direct Cable, some of these BBC shows are free on Direct TV anytime you want them.
The Vicar of Dibley is my FAVORITE! Other favorites are The Alan Partridge Show and the Kumars. Thanks goodness for BBCAmerica.
Susannah, The Vicar of Dibley has to be one of my favorites also. Can you believe that (Female) Vicar? She is really one of a kind. And no one can beat that ditsy blond gal with her. (Now all of you will have to try to watch the show)
Trigger Happy TV and The Office. I Love the BBC!!

"Monarch of the Glen" is good, but KUED doesn't show it anymore.
Our favorite BBC show now is "Hustle", which is on AMC. It's about conmen.
