"Flopsy, Plopsy, Mopsy and Autopsy"

This is what I just overheard my son say to his brother in the living room.
What were they talking about? Well, that's the fun part....
I'm an eavesdropper. Always have been. I do not use my powers for evil and gossip to others about what people say. I pride myself in not breeding ill will with the information I have.
I do, however, use my eavesdropping powers to fuel conversation and help with writing. I leave out names and situations that may incriminate and just let the words speak for themselves.
So the next time you are out with me and my eyes gloss over, don't be offended. It's not that you bore me, it's that the people behind you are demanding my attention with their private conversation.

One of my favorites:

(Overheard in a movie theater while I mechanically nodded my head at my husband, pretending to listen to what he was saying)

"In a church or at a concert, yeah, but never in a movie!"

love people watching. I was at Costco the other day and there was a guy and his daughter eating lunch. She was having pizza, and he was having sushi. I just kept looking at them wondering what their story was. But then I wonder, am I ever the one people are watching? Oh, I hope not.
