Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages)
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the 5th sentence on your blog
5. Tag 5 people
Because I'm sitting in my office with books surrounding me, "the nearest book" could be the phone book. So I'm altering the rules and including the books I am reading. Right now I'm reading three.
The first is Slavery and Politics in the Early American Republic by Matthew Mason:
"The peculiar notions and tender sensitivities of the North, when activated to the benefit of fugitive slaves, violated the Constitution and lessened the value of the Union."
Next is Love, Ruby Lavender by Deborah Wiles:
"These two are---"
(really, truly, that was the whole sentence)
And I'm also reading God Wants a Powerful People by Sheri Dew:
"After reading the familiar passage in James, Joseph realized he must 'either remain in darkness and confusion, or else...do as James directs, that is, ask of God', which he did, with life-changing, even dispensation-inaugurating results."
I tag Rachel, Robin, Christina, Melinda and Connie.

Thanks for the tag!! It gave me something to blog about. I could learn lots from you...
Wow! Who reads "Slavery and Politics in the Early American Republic"? You can learn a lot about a person by the books she reads.
I'm slowly wading through it because it was written by my dear friend Stacie's husband.
