After checking out websites and other Moms for ideas on what to give the teacher at the end of the year, I finally just made cookies and put them in a gift box with a note. Sometimes being "Super-Mom" means taking the easy road. I've got so much else going on that I figure I'm doing well if the teachers get anything at all.

Darling Mich -
Some of the girls in my neighborhood gave Forget-Me-Nots. Kind of cute. Oh and I quit Real Simple for the same reason.
Love ya
(p.s. do you know who this is?0
At least you made cookies! I ended up getting a $5 gift card from Target for the kids' 2 core teachers, and for all the rest of the teachers (specialty), I got packages of sharpies, hershey's treasures, and kisses, and wrote silly notes, like "aren't you sharp?", "you are a treasure"--dumb stuff like that. Not the greatest gifts, but whatever, it's the thought that counts, right?
The cookies sound more complicated than the Barnes & Noble gift certs I gave out . . . nothing homemade from this house this year! And I don't remember doing gifts as a kid . . . was I out of it, or has the world become maddeningly, irreversibly complicated?!
