At work today, I was complemented on my email writing skills. It was a professional email reminding workers how expensive it is to wait until the last minute to ship their packages. I didn't think it was so special, but it garnered the comment-"You are a good writer!"
Ha!, I thought, You think that was good, you should see what I write for fun!
So I checked out my blog to see just what I have written lately-for fun. I realized, as many of you have, that I haven't posted for quite some time. Oh, dear! What a shame! You are not up to date with my life.
If we bring a little joy into your hum-drum lives, it makes us feel as though our hard work ain't been in vain for nothin'.

Only, my life has not been noteworthy lately. We're just plugging along, each of us doing our respective "thing".
The boys go to school and do their homework mostly--interrupted with the occasional football practice or list of chores from Mom.
I go to work day-to-day, just doing my thing.
Yup, just--y'know--living.
Yeah....
Gettin' up in the mornin'--taking a shower--eatin' my breakfast...
Oh! I did get a hair cut. Yeah. It's shorter now. Mmm hmm...
Shorter.
*cue the crickets chirping*
Yeah. So....
Umm...oh, did I mention that somebody said I was a good writer...?

I totally agree that you are a good writer. You are funny, and witty, and creative.
I have to post pictures on my blog to make it interesting.
Even if you are just doing your "thing", you still make it entertaining.
