If you are offended, you must be one of them...

Almost a month without a post--YIKES!
So I'll be posting about something I'm sure I've posted about before:
STUPID MEN
Why are men so truly stupid? Especially married men? But really, all men in general.
Why must there be a woman there to direct and guide and bluntly point out what is directly in front of their face?
One such a man approached me today unable to find a car in the parking lot. A parking lot with 5 spaces and 4 parked cars in it. After directing him to the car whose name matched the name on the key I had given him, I stood by just to make sure the key worked. You know, just in case.
I’m sure the blame for this lack of brain use cannot fall on the wives of these men. I know this man's wife, and she's lovely. I myself was the wife of such a man once.
I would hear him bellow from the other room “Have you seen my belt?”
The belt you just wore yesterday? The belt I have never borrowed? The belt I hope to find first so I can beat you with it?
Perhaps the mothers of such men are to blame. But I have two young men of my own with this same issue, and I dread to think I am at fault. I encourage independence and deep thinking and using one’s own brain.
I get a call at work: "Mom, do we have milk?" I tap into the memory I have of what is in my fridge from my 10 second perusal during this morning's grab of my lunch. As I try to navigate them through the maze of my smaller-than-a fridge interior, I hear: “Oh, IN the fridge.” Yes, *that* milk. The milk we keep in the fridge.
Truly, is there no cure? And do they not mind how stupid they appear? Must they keep asking questions, confirming their stupidity?

On a COMPLETELY different subject (don't read anything into this Rachel, I mean COMPLETELY different...) read my sisters blog.

Try working with clueless Elders. Not only can they never find anything but they do not remember anything from one day to the next. I feel like I am raising a family all over again. We have to Inspect their apartments on a regular basis and there is no way in "Heaven" they will ever be able to find anything. I really feel sorry for their wives if they ever find any girl that will put up with them.

Great post Michelle. My daughter does that sometimes too. Fortunately the girls usually outgrow it. I think it is definitely their FATHER's fault!!...not their dear mother's.
