Teenage boys

I'm becoming ever increasingly aware that I have boys entering the teenage years.
In some ways it's good: I can delegate more responsibility and yucky jobs
In some ways, however,it's not so good: the sarcasm is more clever

I was hurrying my boys in getting ready for school and I said "Are your socks and shoes on?" To which I heard "No".
"Not good enough--unacceptable" I replied, and without skipping a beat, my 14 year old said, "Maybe you need to lower the bar."

My bar has lowered so much it's laying on the floor. Good to see you are back! Thanks for the special birthday card, you are a real sweetie! xo

I bet I can guess which one that was! Your boys make me laugh so hard. Mine is following in their footsteps so I am sure I won't be laughing too long when mine says the same things.
