As most of you know, my brother has been serving our country in Kyrgyzstan for the past six months. I am happy to report that he is now home, safe and sound. We are thrilled to have him back, and my 2 year old nephew is ecstatic! When he saw his Dad at the airport, he recognized him right away and ran up to him and gave him a big hug. It's been difficult for his family to be without him, but they knew he was doing his duty to his country.
We may not want to have American soldiers fighting for freedom in other countries, but we need to remember that they are there for us. It's our freedom they are defending. It wouldn't hurt to thank the next military person you see. They really need to know that their sacrifice is appreciated.
And speaking of family........

Your sister is amazing! That's cool that they featured them on the news. Thanks for the link. So glad Tim is home safe and sound.
How are you??
Wow! Welcome home to Tim! I hope it's a wonderful week of getting back into the home life. Tell him I say hi.
And Welcome, Colby. I honestly cannot imagine how they function with 12 kids--quite amazing.
And Welcome back to the blog world, Michelle. It's been a few weeks and we've missed hearing from you.
Welcome home Tim. When does he start nursing school?
I am so happy he is home safe. My cousin is over there right now and when he left his son was 2 months old. I do appreciate what these soldiers are doing and I want them all home safe!
