Translating English slang into American slang

Overheard while boys were watching "Bedknobs and Broomsticks":

What did they say?

They said, "You've won the ruddy cup."

Ruddy cup? What's ruddy mean?

It means, like, freaking. "You've won the freaking cup."

(All that dictionary reading has really paid off!)
